This is a list of new features in Enswitch 3.8. It is not exhaustive; some enhancements are too minor to list. A full list of features is also available.

  • A customer and their sub-customers can share routing between features, callerids, etc. This allows the customer to be treated as one for telephony purposes, but have separate billing for each department.
  • Invoicing generation has been completely re-written to use HTML templates.
  • Invoice CDRs can be grouped by direction.
  • Humbug Labs integration.
  • Each number can have a different region, allowing granular control of which Asterisk machine handles which inbound call.
  • Post-paid customers can be warned by email once their monthly spending reaches a set limit.
  • Audit logs show original login user.
  • New conference setting for join/leave sounds.
  • New queue settings for auto-answer and ringing versus music.
  • Improved QueueMetrics integration.
  • Queued calls can be viewed across all queues in a customer.
  • Mailboxes can be searched by mailbox or description.
  • Notifications emails can be sent for voicemails only, faxes only, or both.
  • Voicemails and faxes attached to notification emails can be encrypted using GPG.
  • Telephone lines can be set to voice or fax for outbound routing purposes.
  • Users are warned by email when their mailboxes are nearly full.
  • Customer on hold music can have multiple uploaded files.
  • Calls can be parked on a specific slot using a feature prefix.
  • Call screening can use answering machine detection.
  • The call history report can be grouped by various fields.
  • The web interface destination selector has been redesigned, with a simpler, neater, and more flexible design.
  • Whether passwords and PINs are shown on the web can be set for each role.
  • Web menus links can contain variables for user authentication, allowing single sign-on with external websites.
  • The make call API action has more options to control when the call is made and caller name sent.
  • Rotation of log files is now handled with Enswitch.
  • The user agent in SIP packets and the fax identifier can be rebranded.
  • OpenSIPS 1.7.2 is used by default for new installations. Kamailio 3.1 and OpenSIPS 1.4 are available as options.
