If there are numbers for which you are paid for inbound calls (i.e. a negative price in your rate plan), you can make a profit by allowing callers to call in to such a number, then call out to any international destination that costs you less than the inbound call revenue. Your customers need no accounts, all they need to know is the number to call.

To create an unlimited access number

  1. Log in to the Enswitch web interface.
  2. Go to Commerce » Unlimited access.
  3. Click the "New" button.
  4. Enter the following:
    • A name for the number. This could the same as the number.
    • Optionally a description.
    • Whether the number is locked. If it is, no callers can use it.
    • If your system is configured for dial plans, the dial plan for outbound calls.
    • The callerid to use on outbound calls.
    • Whether to continue ringing after answering. This can increase your revenue by increasing the time you are earning inbound revenue without the outbound call cost.
    • The maximum duration of the call.
    • The minimum profit per minute. This is the normal way of controlling which destinations are allowed. This should be enough to cover your other costs.
    • The minimum profit percentage. Normally this would be zero as profit per minute is more commonly used.
    • The maximum outbound connect fee.
    • The maximum outbound cost per minute.
    • If you have any classes of service configured, optionally choose one.
    • When the number is active. Normally, this would be all the time.
  5. Click the "Save" button.
  6. Under Features » Numbers, set the number to forward to the unlimited access number created.

The destinations which callers are allowed to call are then calculated in real time from the number which forwards to the unlimited access number, and from the minima and maxima you set.

To protect you from fraud, only calls which originate from trusted sources (i.e. those that are known to pay revenue on inbound calls) may use the unlimited access menu. To configure these sources, please ask your support provider.
