If a telephone is ringing, other telephones in the same pickup group may dial **, which intercepts the call and brings it to them. Telephones may be in more than one pickup group, and may pick up any ringing telephone line in any group they belong to. If more than one such telephone is ringing, which one is picked up is uncertain.

To add a new pickup group

1. Log in to the Enswitch web interface.
2. Go to Features » Pickup groups.
3. Click the "New" button.
4. Enter a name for the group, and optionally a description.
5. Click the "Save" button.
6. Set any telephone lines to use this group.
