To configure Enswitch client for Android provisioning

  1. Add "android" to the "Provision models" setting under System » Configuration. If there is already a setting, add a ",android" to the end - for example "snom, android".
  2. Set the "SIP domain" custom setting for the system rate plan (normally called "Your own rate plan") to be the hostname or IP address that telephones should register to.
  3. Wait one minute for these setting to take effect.
  4. If required, go to Features » Provisioning, and edit the Enswitch client for Android template. Normally, no changes are needed.
  5. Install the client on an Android device. This can be done by searching for "Enswitch Client" in the Google Play app for Android, or on the Google Play website.
  6. In the client's settings menu, enable SIP, optionally enable SIP always registered, and note the provisioning ID. Setting SIP to be always registered allows inbound calls, but may increase data usage and decrease battery life.
  7. Edit a telephone line on the Enswitch web, and set the MAC address to the device's provisioning ID.
