This is a list of new features in Enswitch 3.13. It is not exhaustive; some enhancements are too minor to list. A full list of features is also available.

  • The API layer has been completely re-written as a REST-like JSON API. This is much more flexible and easy to use than the old SOAP API. The SOAP API still exists, but is deprecated and no longer used by the Enswitch web interface.
  • Database size is reduced, and performance improved, through reductions in index size and avoiding recording zero costs for CDRs and taxes.
  • Cleanup of stale call recordings is much faster and lower impact.
  • Automatic provisioning support for Cisco SPA.
  • Automatic locking of telephone lines on too many incorrect passwords can be configured to ignore requests from white-listed IP addresses. This is not enabled by default.
  • A plugin can be invoked to do caller name (CNAM) lookups for incoming calls. The results can optionally be cached.
  • Calls to SIP URIs and telephone lines with "Send called number as request URI" enabled can optionally be routed through the SIP proxy.
  • Voicemails can be forwarded to multiple mailboxes if using Enswitch voicemail.
  • The list mailboxes page includes a summary of the messages in each mailbox.
  • Call screening can be disabled if enabled earlier in the call flow.
  • Hunt group, page group, and queue destinations can be imported from a .csv file.
  • Better handling of queue wrap-up times when a destination is in multiple queues.
  • The call history report allows time ranges with start and end hour, minute, and second.
  • The call history report shows withheld callerids for calls from within the same customer.
  • Web passwords can optionally be stored in the database using Blowfish encryption with configurable cost.
  • Customers can have a technical contact email address set, and bulk emails can be sent to them.
  • Sending outbound faxes from the web interface or a Hylafax client keeps trying for longer.
  • Hylafax Enterprise can optionally be used as fax driver.
  • Option to allow call recording to continue after REFER transfers.
