It can often be useful for users to be able to make external calls from the system using a callerid that is not a number on the system. For example, a user might want to make a call from a desk handset using their mobile number as callerid so that any returned calls go to their mobile. This can be done by adding their mobile number to their customer as a callerid only number.

When configuring this, it's important to ensure that users cannot use this feature to commit callerid fraud. To prevent such fraud, only a system administrator may add callerid only numbers. Customers may not do this for themselves. When adding callerid only numbers, you should always verify that the user does indeed control the number being added, and add it only to their customer.
